When this was happening we were going to work armed, because he was targeting establishments like the one I work at in Auburn, across the bridge from Lewiston. My Boy Scout troop leader from 30 years ago was one of the survivors of this maniac. Little did we know, he was already dead. Thankfully he stopped when he did. He could have inflicted a lot more harm had he continued. The municipalities were not able to respond quickly enough. Our task forces are cobbled together by officers from various departments and agencies, like the violent crime task force, and take a while to consolidate and muster up a response. So, it falls to local police to take initiative, and they are understaffed and spread out as well. We do need to support them and we need Trump 2024

It was clearly a set up. If anyone had cared or done their job properly it wouldn’t even have happened but they say there were other shooters too :/ that he was an easy pin cus he was already telling people he’d do it and asking for help and nobody did anything…. Country he served broke him just to set him up and k*ll him. I was right up the road from one spot he shot up and it made no sense how he was just casually hitting up 3 places and then just escaped? Set up. It’s just corruption causing fear and pain-but the same system asking you to trust them to fix this is the system that allowed it-not just allowed it but practically set it all up. So sorry to the families in mourning, 😢 there’s no words. Hope this country is taken back by the people someday.

When I first had an alert on my phone about this, I thought it was some hacker playing a really bad joke on people. My work place was closed in Norway, ME but i still didn't think it was that serious until i read more news stories on this. I was so saddened by the people who lost their lives and then later learned of the shooter asking for help and finding out he had a TBI. It's sad that this had to happen in order to finally get some serious help for people who have Mental Health issues to the point where they cannot, clearly, control themselves !!!
